The Treasure Coast name is commonly used for the region from Sebastian down to Hobe Sound.
It includes Sebastian, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Hutchinson Island, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach, and Hobe Sound.
The name Treasure Coast comes from the treasures that were recovered from the many Spanish Galleons wrecked off the coast during the 17th and 18th centuries.
The Treasure Coast provides an abundance of of activities and recreation including the Cultural Center of Ft. Pierce, the unspoiled beaches of Vero Beach, and the Sailfish Capital of the World, Stuart, Florida.
