The Cocoa Beach Pier has been entertaining tourists and locals since 1962. It’s an historical landmark located on the Florida Space Coast. It was a tourist attraction even before Mickey Mouse moved to Central Florida.
The Cocoa Beach Pier extends out 800’ over the Atlantic Ocean with 270 pilings supporting the pier. The pilings are around 40’ long and are driven at least 15’ into the ocean floor.
Through the years the pier has weathered some strong hurricane type winds along with some strong never ending parties.
Cocoa Beach Pier is located about ½ mile north of 520 and just east off of Highway A1A.
The pier is home to the Oh Shucks Seafood Bar, the Atlantic Ocean Grille, Marlins Good Times Bar & Grill, The Boardwalk, Ricky’s Ice Cream Parlor & Arcade, and the Mai Tiki Bar, which is located at the end of the pier.
The Cocoa Beach Pier is open 365 days a year and there is always something going on.
Over 200’ of the Cocoa Beach Pier is available for fishing. Bait is available on the pier along with rod & reel rentals. There are not too many places along the Florida Space Coast that you can go fishing in the ocean without having to rent a boat, get wet, or getting sand in your shorts.
The Cocoa Beach Pier is handicap accessible with ramps up to the pier’s boardwalk.
There is no better place in Cocoa Beach to watch rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center. The Kennedy Space Center is less than 20 miles to the north of the Cocoa Beach Pier.
Be sure to visit the Cocoa Beach Pier on your next trip to Central Florida. It is around 60 miles from Lake Buena Vista and the closest beach to the Magic Kingdom. At the Cocoa Beach Pier you can enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine, surfing the gnarly waves, playing in the ocean, fishing off the dock, and sand beach volleyball. Keep checking our calendars for the big events held at the Cocoa Beach Pier. Look for the Easter Weekend Surf Contest, Memorial Day Weekend Beach Fest, and the New Years Eve Rockin the Dock Party.
