The BackBooth has been entertaining the locals for decades with live music and art and has been in their current location in Downtown Orlando for almost 6 years. Orlando Weekly named it one of the best live music venues in the city.
The BackBooth maintains one of the most impressive draft selections in downtown Orlando and remains a favorite of the regulars as their local watering hole. The Old-English décor, with dark woodwork and curtains throughout, gives it a pub-like atmosphere.
The BackBooth hosts many national and regional bands. Most of the shows at the BackBooth are either All Ages or 18 years & over. There are a few exceptions that are 21 years & over.
On any given night they could have bands playing Rock, Pop, Folk, Punk, Country, Rockabilly, Rap, Alternative Rock, Blues, Indie, Metal, Experimental, Hip Hop, Ska, Goth, Prog, or R&B. Our Event Calendar will let you know what type of music will be playing the night you want to go to the BackBooth.
The capacity for the BackBooth is around 350 and all shows are sold as General Admission. There is limited seating in the venue so be ready to stand for the whole show. Due to the size of the BackBooth the bands play in close range to the audience. There are no visual issues because the large stage is raised at a good level. The sound and light systems are powerful!
The BackBooth is known for it's Dance Parties, one being CRUSH (Monday nights) @ BackBooth. The DJs spin Electro, Indie, 80s & 90s Dance, and tons of Eclectic Party Jams every Monday Night. CRUSH was hailed as one of the most innovative parties and Orlando Weekly readers voted it one of the best club nights in the city of Orlando.
