Orlando

Orlando, Florida is known for its pleasant weather and its location in the center of one of the country’s fastest growing real estate markets. Orlando is the principal city of the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area known as Greater Orlando or Metro Orlando. It encompasses Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake counties and is currently the 3rd largest metropolitan area in the state of Florida behind Miami and Tampa with a population of approximately 2 million.

Tampa

Tampa is part of the metropolitan area refered to as the Tampa Bay Area.  It includes Tampa, Clearwater, and the St. Petersburg areas.  The population in the 4 county area is around 3 million residents making it the 2nd largest metropolitan statistical area in the state of Florida.  It has a humid subtropical climate with hot summer days and a slight chance of a light freeze in the winter.  Tampa is known for its diverse culture & is home to a variety of performance halls including the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. The TBPAC is the largest arts center south of the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Jacksonville

Jacksonville is the largest city in land area in the contiguous United States.  In 1968 they consolidated the city and the county government along with expanding the city limits to include almost the entire Duval County.  The Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan Area has the 4th largest regional population in the state of Florida.  Jacksonville has a humid subtropical climate but they have been known to experience hard freezes a few evenings during the winter.  Downtown Jacksonville is located on the St. Johns River with much of the cities vitality and identity coming from the river.

Miami

Miami's skyline ranks third in the United States for skyscrapers, only behind New York and Chicago.  The Miami Metropolitan Area has the largest population in the state of Florida and they rank in the top 5 in the United States.  It is the 2nd most southern metropolitan city in the United States, only behind Honolulu.  Miami has a true tropical climate with hot & humid summers and warm and mostly dry winters.  It is a melting pot of cultures, which is evident in the rich Music and Performing Arts scene.

Space Coast

The Space Coast region is located on the east coast of Florida and is mainly thought of as the east coast of Brevard County.  Included in the area are Titusville, Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Indian Harbour Beach.  Visit NASA's Kennedy Space Center then  enjoy the outdoors on the beach or fishing for giant redfish.  You will find 72 miles of picturesque Atlantic Beaches along with unspoiled nature preserves.  The region is less than an hour from Orlando and it is Orlando's closest beaches.

Gainesville

In recent years, Gainesville has been ranked as one of the best places to live.  It is home to one of the nations largest Universities, the University of Florida.  Gainesville is a medium size city and it is located in the central part of the state.  It is approximately 1.5 hours southwest of Jacksonville and 2 hours northwest of Orlando.  Gainesville is traditionally well known for their vibrant music scene.  This is mostly due to the endless amount of college students that will put off their studies to go out and support a hot band coming through town.

Tallahassee

Tallahassee is the state capital of Florida and it is deep in early American history.   It became the state capital in 1824 and this rough frontier capital gradually grew in to a town during Florida's territorial period.  In the late 18th and early 19th centuries the region was inhabited by the Seminole Indians.  In recent years, Tallahassee has seen an increase in growth, mainly in government and research services associated with Florida State University and Florida A&M University.  When visiting Tallahassee for the Big Game at Florida State, take time to explore the area's rich heritage.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city and the oldest permanent European settlement on the North American continent, was founded in 1565.  A beautiful city filled with the charm of Europe, but every modern convenience you would expect in an American city.  Your day can be filled with visits to historic sites, a multitude of beaches, shopping, a bustling art and music scene, a show at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, and ending with a romantic dinner along the water.

Daytona Beach

The city of Daytona Beach is home to one of the world's most Famous Beaches.  They have one of the few beaches in the world where you can drive your car on the beach.

The hard packed sand made it possible to host over 50 years of racing at the old Daytona Beach Road Course on the beach.  The course was replaced in 1959 when NASCAR founder William France, built the Daytona International Speedway.  It is now home to racing's biggest event, the Super Bowl of Racing, Daytona 500.  Daytona Beach is a year-round family resort area and it can accomodate even the largest crowds Motorsports can bring.

Florida Keys

The Florida Keys consists of around 1,700 islands in the southeast United States.  They are the exposed portions of an ancient coral reef.  The climate is tropical and the Keys are the only frost-free place in Florida.  The main Keys for tourisum are Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key & the lower keys, and the county seat, Key West.  For many of the early years, Key West was the largest city in Florida, thriving on the many ship wrecks hitting the coral reef.  Take the beautiful drive through the Keys and head down to the Conch Republic and experience this tropical paradise.

Lower West Coast Florida

Lower West Coast Florida consists of the Florida west coast south of St. Petersburg, Florida.  This includes Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Naples, and Marco Island.  A variety of towns line the Gulf Coast from the laid-back Bradenton Beach, to the Cultural Coast of Sarasota, to the shell-rich beaches of Sanibel Island, to the Platinum Coast of Naples and Marco Island.  Put the top down and travel Florida's west coast for an array of activities along the coast.  Bring the beach chairs and the golf clubs for a relaxing time on the West Coast of Florida.

Upper Gold Coast

The Upper Gold Coast is the region from Jupiter down to just north of Ft. Lauderdale.  It includes Jupiter, Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach.  The Gold Coast got its name from the coins that used to wash up on shore due to the many Spanish Galleons that sank off the coast carrying large amounts of silver & gold coins.  Now the gold in Gold Coast is represented by the fabulous wealth that settled in the area.  When you visit the Gold Coast, bring your surf boards and boogie boards for some gnarly waves in the Atlantic Ocean.

Treasure Coast

The Treasure Coast name is commonly used for the region from Sebastian down to Hobe Sound.  It includes Sebastian, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Hutchinson Island, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach, and Hobe Sound.  The name Treasure Coast comes from the treasures that were recovered from the many Spanish Galleons wrecked off the coast during the 17th and 18th centuries.  The Treasure Coast provides an abundance of of activities and recreation including the Cultural Center of Ft. Pierce, the unspoiled beaches of Vero Beach, and the Sailfish Capital of the World, Stuart, Florida.
